Over roof cladding of the existing fibre cement sheeted roof using zed spacer system fixed through the top of the existing sheet corrugations to prevent crushing the existing material.

Quilt insulation was then fitted on top of the existing sheets before the roof received new 0.7 profiled roof sheets along with new GRP rooflights.

The advantages of this system is that expensive and hazardous roof removal and disposal is avoided, additional insulation can be installed and it is not necessary to stop production internally.

The release of dust or debris from the existing roof covering during the oversheeting process is eliminated through the use of self-drilling/tapping screws to form the fixing holes. A light grease is then applied to the screws before use.

The work is covered by a ten year guarantee.
